1. Our Commitment to Young Learners
At SchoolEasy, we believe that student records are sacred institutional assets. A substantial portion of data processed on our platform pertains to minor children. We design our software around a foundational principle: children are learners, not commercial products.
This Student & Child Data Policy supplements our general Privacy Policy by establishing the specific safeguards, technical guardrails, and parental rights that apply to student accounts.
2. The Strict No-Advertising & No-Monetization Pledge
We maintain an absolute, permanent commitment across all tiers of our platform:
- We NEVER sell, lease, or rent student personal data to marketing agencies, data brokers, or third-party advertisers.
- We NEVER display third-party advertisements or sponsored promotions anywhere in student, educator, or parent portals.
- We NEVER build non-educational or commercial behavioral profiles based on a student’s attendance, examination marks, or classroom behavior.
- We NEVER track students across external third-party websites or sell behavioral telemetry.
3. Purpose Limitation
Student information is collected solely by the subscribing educational institution and processed by SchoolEasy for verified educational administration, including:
- Managing class enrollments, batch assignments, and roll call registers.
- Recording daily attendance and automated parent absence notifications.
- Compiling examination marks, teacher remarks, grading scales, and official report cards.
- Tracking tuition fee installments and issuing official school payment receipts.
- Processing leave requests submitted by parents or students to school leadership.
4. Parental & Guardian Access
Parents and legal guardians are central partners in a child’s educational journey:
Dedicated Guardian Portal:
When an institution connects a parent account to a student, the guardian is provided dedicated access to monitor their child’s academic progress, attendance percentage, examination results, and fee status.
Guardian accounts are strictly bounded: parents cannot view the personal data, marks, or attendance of any student other than their own linked children.
5. Academic Rankings & Leaderboards
SchoolEasy includes an optional institutional academic leaderboard feature:

Academic leaderboards are strictly internal to the subscribing institution and are intended as an educational motivational tool to recognize academic excellence. Leaderboards are never accessible to the general public or indexable by search engines.
Students can always view their own individual academic rank and standing privately through their personal progress dashboard. School administrators maintain configuration controls to restrict leaderboard visibility by batch, class, or campus.
6. Administrative Account Provisioning for Minors
Young learners in primary and secondary schools often lack personal email addresses or the technical capability to manage multi-factor authentication. To accommodate this reality:
- Student accounts are provisioned directly by the school administration, often utilizing structured institutional roll numbers and numeric usernames.
- Initial access slips are generated by school personnel and handed to students or guardians in a controlled school setting.
- If a student forgets their password, designated school administrative staff can securely issue a replacement password to ensure the student never loses access to classroom materials and exam notices.
